STARGATE UNIVERSE
Stargate Universe is another spin-off series
(Canada / 2009-2011 / 2 seasons / 40 episodes)
A group of soldiers, scientists, and civilians who are led by Dr. Nicholas Rush and Colonel Everett Young are stationed on a base on an alien planet. They are attacked and overrun. During their escape, they get on board the ancient spaceship “Destiny”, which is an unmanned research vessel that explores space on a fixed course. The group is stuck on the spaceship, because the flight route cannot be changed due to the programming. They can only leave the ship during the programmed stopovers. A return to earth is not possible either through the Stargate or with the ship itself. Only communication with the earth is possible thanks to ancient technology.
